Indore/Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): All India Bike Rider and content creator Naina and her husband Arpit have made serious allegations against Ujjain's Mahakaleshwar Temple staff after they were caught making reel despite the restriction on usage of camera and mobile phones inside the temple.

They shared their experience via an Instagram reel on their official handle 'yatriactors', alleging biased behavior by the temple staff towards non-VIP devotees.

In the video - which has gone viral on social media - Naina even shed tears accused the temple staff of promoting VIP culture and making a 'business out of people's devotion.'

She continued, the staff misbehaved with her and her husband just for holding a phone in her hand, however, the VIPs remained undisturbed for the same.

The rider even broke down in front of the camera explaining that she, along with her husband, had been waiting in the queue since 5:30 am and their chance came 2 hours later at 7:30 am.

Still, they were not allowed to proceed with the darshan and were taken to the control room. Here, they were allegedly asked, “Do you have a VIP pass?” Upset by the behavior, the couple left without completing their visit.

Arpit found making reel

Meanwhile, another video of Naina’s husband Arpit has surfaced in which he was seen making a reel with a camera. A conflict erupting between Arpit and the temple staff is also shown in the video.

After their return, they posted a video on social media claiming the rules are only being applied to common devotees and not the VIPs. The video has gone viral, with over 24k comments, many expressing anger at the temple's management.

We can not check woman’s purse: Ujjain Collector

Regarding the matter, Ujjain Collector Raushan Kumar Singh said, “Carrying or using mobile phones inside Mahakaleshwar Temple premises is strictly prohibited. Also, it is indecent to check a woman's ... .Still, the couple was making a reel and created ruckus as private security personnel asked them not to do so.”

‘Naina’s husband reacted angrily’

Additionally, the temple’s administrator Pratham Kaushik responded to the couple’s claims, and said the CCTV footage shows Naina’s husband making a video inside Ganesh Mandapam, where phone use is banned. He stated that staff only asked them to follow the rules, and that the man reacted angrily.

On the other hand, Naina also raised questions about celebrities like Virat Kohli and Sara Ali Khan being allowed inside the sanctum for special pooja, while common people are only given a few seconds. She accused the temple of turning religion into business and demanded equal treatment for all.

She also asked why mobile phone checks are not done at the entrance itself, instead of stopping people during darshan and treating them badly.

This is not the first time such allegations have been made against the Mahakaleshwar temple staff. The incident has once again raised concerns over VIP culture and the treatment of common devotees in religious places.
