Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav reached Indore to attend the state cabinet meeting on Tuesday. Before the meeting, he visited the Kamala Nehru Zoological Museum and released a male King Cobra into the snake park inside the zoo.
Sharing a clip on his X account (Twitter), he posted, “During my stay in Indore today, I reached Kamala Nehru Zoological Museum and released the male King Cobra in the snake park. The ongoing efforts to conserve biodiversity here are praiseworthy. Conservation of living beings is service to nature; it is an easy way to introduce them to the coming generation.”
The clip shows him feeding colourful parrots and observing the wildlife closely.
The CM’s visit to the zoo emphasised his continued interest in protection of animals and birds. He encouraged public, especially the younger generation, to understand the importance of nature and conserve it.
Cabinet Meeting at historic Rajwada
He left for cabinet meeting scheduled at Ganesh Hall in Rajwada, Indore. This is not the first time a cabinet meeting is being held outside capital Bhopal. A similar meeting was held in Maheshwar initially in January 2025.
Security has been tightened at the meeting venue, and only officials and ministers with proper verification are allowed inside. There is also public attention on the arrival of Minister Vijay Shah, who is currently in the news for his remarks about Colonel Sophia.
MP Metropolitan Planning Draft Bill to be presented
Sources say the MP Metropolitan Planning and Development Act 2025 will be presented during the meeting. Also, ₹2200 crore may be approved for the construction of Advaita Lok (Adi Shankar Museum) in Omkareshwar. The state’s long-term development plan, Vision Document 2047, will be discussed in eight different groups.
