Spiritual And Wellness Summit: Government Goes All Out To Convince Investors

Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): Investors should come forward to invest in the field of spiritual and wellness, as they will be provided with all possible facilities by the state government, Principal Secretary, Tourism, Shiv Shekhar Shukla said on Thursday while addressing the panel at the Spiritual and Wellness Summit.

Elaborating, he said that under the Tourism Policy-2025, up to 30 types of permissions are being made available online within the time limit. A subsidy of 15-30% on capital investment is being provided by the government to provide hotels, resorts, and other types of tourism facilities. During the event organised under the joint aegis of MP Tourism Development Corporation, MP Industrial Development Corporation, and the Anand Department, panel discussions were organised in two sessions, featuring subject experts. 

Swami Chaitanya Hari, founder of Yoga Nisarg and Vedic Yoga School, Dr Ramesh Warrior, Managing Director of AVN Group, Apollo Ayurveda project leader Dr Megha KL, Mukund Prasad, director of Leicester Hotels, Deepshikha, editor of Economics Times, Principal Secretary, Tourism, Shiv Shekhar Shukla and Principal Secretary, Industrial Investment Promotion and Anand Department Raghavendra Kumar Singh were a part of the panel discussion of the first session.

Principal Secretary Raghavendra Kumar Singh said Madhya Pradesh is the only state in the country with an Anand Department. Ujjain has been recognised in the field of spiritual art, culture, and science since ancient times. Emperor Vikramaditya has given a special identity to this city in the administrative field also. It is a centre of spirituality and wellness. 

In the second session, a panel discussion on ‘Building Wellness Ecosystem and Workforce’ featured Principal Secretary, Health services, Sandeep Yadav, Mona Walia of VP Kerala Ayurvedic Group, Mahesh Paryani, director of Tirupati Estates, Himanshu Rai, director of IIM Indore, Shubham Agnihotri, co-founder of Taiwan India Ayurveda Association, sports fitness coach Vijay Thakkar, joint secretary of AYUSH Ministry, Kavita Garg, and Ashutosh Sinha of Economics Times.

Principal Secretary Sandeep Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh has the best wellness policy in the country. More than one lakh visitors visit Ujjain every day. The programme was conducted by Shikha Singh, and at the end of the session, anchors Deepshikha and Ashutosh Sinha presented mementos to the subject experts and panelists. 

Collector on Simhastha

Ujjain Collector Raushan Kumar Singh spoke in detail about the extensive development, construction work, and preparations being made in Ujjain for the coming Simhastha Mahaparv 2028, through a presentation and highlighted the action plan for the overall development of Ujjain. He said the construction work of four helipads is going on in Sadaval, and work is being done rapidly on the Kanh Diversion Close Duct Project to make the Kshipra River flow uninterrupted.

New ghats are being built on both sides of the Kshipra river.  Work is being done on the city development plan in 2,376 hectares in the Simhastha fair area. Special work is being done on the development and expansion of permanent infrastructure facilities such as roads, sewerage, drinking water, and electricity.
