The Incident
The victim, Rahul alias Golden, son of Ramchandra Pandey, was a resident of Shahpur. He had left home with his wife on April 12, but the next day, his body was found in the bushes. His wife was missing at the time, which raised suspicion.
Police investigations revealed that Rahul’s wife, who is a minor, planned the murder with her boyfriend Bharat alias Yuvraj Patil. They were helped by two others – Lalit Patil and a minor boy. Together, they attacked Rahul and stabbed him 36 times with a sharp weapon called a 'gupti'.

According to the police, Rahul and his wife had gone to Burhanpur saying they were going marketing. On the way back, the wife dropped her slipper near the ITI College and asked Rahul to stop the bike.
At that moment, the attackers – who were following them – reached the spot. Lalit and the minor boy attacked Rahul, while the wife hit him with a beer bottle and pushed him into a pit. Then, they stabbed him on the neck, back, stomach, and head until he died.
