Khachrod (Madhya Pradesh): BJP leader and ex-councilor Radheshyam Bamboriya has written to state Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the minister of public works department Gopal Bhargava to conduct an inquiry into the irregularities in laying of the road from Khachchowk Temple to Ramalai Ratlam Road (Udinwat).
He alleged that sub-standard material is being used to lay the road which is going to cost over Rs 5 crores to the exchequer. He demanded an inquiry and a action against the culprits.
He also demanded that farmers should be provided access to the their fields.
The construction work of this road is being done by the Public Works Department with sub-standard material and due to the negligence of the contractor, Bamboriya said.
As the administration has not provided alternative access to the farmers, they are not able to go to their fields so the harvesting of soybean is getting affected, he added.
There is tremendous resentment among the people of the area and the farmers towards the concerned contractors and officials of PWD, he said.
Bamboriya has written to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Public Works Minister Gopal Bhargava to share information about the situation on ground.
In the construction of this road, neither the base is being made nor the cement and other materials are being used in sufficient quantity as per the approved estimate and DPR, he alleged.
Mud is being used instead of murram and the road is expected to be damaged soon, he said.
BJP mandal vice president Dashrath Mehta, former councilor Ramchandra Nagar, Mangilala Popadiya and others were present.
