Madhya Pradesh: Leopard Carcass Found In Pansemal Forest Area

According to the information, the body of the leopardess was found in the field of Banshilal Thakur, a resident of Jahur in the Khetia forest range.

Pansemal (Madhya Pradesh): A two-year-old leopardess died in the Pansemal forest area, possibly due to a conflict between wild animals. Cremation was done in the presence of senior officials. According to the information, the body of the leopardess was found in the field of Banshilal Thakur, a resident of Jahur in the Khetia forest range.

The leopardess was seriously injured and died. On receiving information from the village head Chander Singh Chauhan, the senior officers of the forest department inspected the spot thoroughly and took the body of the leopardess under their control after conducting spot proceedings and taking statements from the villagers, prima facie it was suspected that she died during a fight between wild animals.

The team of veterinary doctors Dr Vijay Rathore Sendhwa, Dr Inder Singh Dohre Khetia, Dr Shivaji Kirade Niwali, and an assistant doctor conducted the postmortem of the female body. The body was cremated in the presence of senior officers and employees of the forest department.

During this, DFO Sendhwa IS Gadaria, deputy forest divisional officer Rakesh Lahari, ranger Pansemal Manoj Vaskale, deputy ranger Raju Patil, deputy ranger Khetia Kailash Dawar and other staff of the forest area were present. The DFO said that as per the prescribed rules, the post-mortem was conducted and the last rites were performed in front of the constituted committee members.
