Sardarpur (Madhya Pradesh): A gut-wrenching incident was reported frim Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar, where a one-year-old girl was allegedly raped in broad daylight, a police official said on Friday. The incident happened at Sardarpur village on Wednesday.
Details of the accused remain unknown so far; the police have started the investigation.
Outraged villagers and kin demanded prompt arrest and stern action against the accused. The victim's family, visiting from Ujjain to attend a wedding, is devastated.
Police outpost in-charge, Gulab Singh Bhayaria, confirmed the incident. He said that as soon as the family reported the crime, a case was registered and the girl was immediately taken to a local hospital.

Case registered under POCSO
Due to the severity of her condition, she was referred to Indore. In response to the incident, multiple police teams were formed to locate the unknown perpetrator.
A case was registered under the BNS and POCSO Act and a manhunt was launched to apprehend the accused. Sardarpur TI Pradeep Khanna and SDOP Vishwadeep Singh Parihar did not respond to calls. Even after 30 hours there is no clue about the identity of the accused.
