Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): The coming Simhastha at the historic Avantika city will see pure water flow in the Kshipra, said Chief Minister Mohan Yadav at the Ram Ghat on Thursday.  He also offered a 351 ft-long chunari to Kshipra on the occasion of Kshipra Tirth Parikrama Yatra, prayed with his wife, and wished for the progress of the entire state.

On the occasion, Swami Chidanand Saraswati said that Madhya Pradesh is creating a new identity under the leadership of CM Yadav. The Simhastha in Ujjain will be organised in a grand form. He said the grandeur of the aarti on the ghats of Kshipra should always be remembered.

Rajya Sabha member Bal Yogi Umesh Nath said in his address that CM Yadav has resolved that the water of Kshipra should flow unabated, and during the coming Simhastha, crores of people will be able to take a divine bath on the paved ghats of Kshipra in a convenient manner.

Chief Secretary Anurag Jain and MP Anil Firojiya were also present on the stage. CM’s cultural advisor and Maharaja Vikramaditya Shodh Peeth director Shri Ram Tiwari also addressed the gathering. A laser show was also organised on this occasion. The Army Symphony Band and bhajan singer Swati Mehul mesmerised the audience with their presentations. Those who did excellent work were also honoured by the CM and other guests.

Before this, the CM participated in the Kshipra Tirtha Parikrama Yatra from Valmiki Dham on the occasion of Ganga Dashami. Before the yatra, the CM planted sindoor and the tree Triveni — Neem, Peepal, and Banyan saplings on the occasion of World Environment Day in the Valmiki Dham premises. 

The CM wished everyone on Ganga Dashami and World Environment Day. He and all other devotees were welcomed by showers of flowers from the platforms erected at various places on the yatra route. For the convenience of the devotees, drinking water, cold drinks, and fruits were distributed at various places.

The CM walked from Valmiki Dham to Ram Ghat carrying the flag of Kshipra Tirth Parikrama. During this, district minister in-charge Gautam Tetwal, MLA Anil Jain Kaluheda, Ujjain Municipal Corporation Speaker Kalawati Yadav, executive president of Kshipra Tirth Parikrama Mahant Rameshwar Das, BJP city chief Sanjay Agrawal, social workers Narayan Yadav, Naresh Sharma, Ravi Solanki, and Vaibhav Yadav were present. 

In the evening, the CM reached the Neelganga area and performed aarti of Mata Neelganga with rituals. Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad head Mahant Ravindra Puri, Juna Akhada head Mahant Prem Giri were among those present.
