Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Women from 14 different communities of the city participated in a programme named ‘Stotra Sarita’, a captivating presentation of stotras, bhajans and mantras. The special programme ‘Stotra Sarita’ was organised at Gandhi Hall on Wednesday, under the aegis of Hindu Spiritual and Service Institute (HSSF).

Women from 14 different communities of Indore participated in the programme and gave captivating presentations of stotras, bhajans and mantras. The purpose of the programme was to bring all women of Hindu society on a single platform.

Saint Anna Maharaj was the chief guest of the programme. In his powerful speech he discussed the ideals of ascetic characters like Shabari and Gandhari and said that ‘Hindu society does not even accept the names of symbols of evil-neither Kansa nor Duryodhan.

This shows the depth of our tradition and values. It is the special responsibility of the women of such a society to keep the tradition of sanskars alive for the next generation.’ Dr Sandhya Chouksey, Vinita Dharm and Padma Bhoje were the coordinators of the programme.

Groups of women of the society gave presentations, among them Bengali, Sindhi, Jain, Marathi, Kayastha, Kalchuri, Swarnakar and Narmdev Brahmin presented Ram Raksha Stotra, Ganpati Atharva Shirsha, Sahastrabahu Stuti, Maa Tulja Bhavani Stuti, Bhajans etc. All women who participated in the programme were honoured with certificates on behalf of HSSF.
