Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Indore health department authorities have confirmed that two patients who tested positive for COVID-19 last week, have now tested negative, following further testing on Thursday.

The Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) office announced the updated test results after conducting a re-test at the Microbiology Government Lab at MGM College.

Dr BS Saitya, the CMHO, confirmed that of the three individuals, who had initially tested positive for COVID-19, two are now clear of the virus, one of them died last week.

The patients included two from Indore district: a 74-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man, along with a 38-year-old man from Dewas district.

A 74-year-old woman, who had been admitted to the hospital on April 19 for kidney-related issues and sepsis, had tested positive for COVID-19 during her treatment. Unfortunately, she passed away due to kidney failure, not COVID-19. The other two patients were stable.

The initial positive tests had caused concern, but the subsequent negative results have cleared any doubts regarding COVID-19 virus in these cases. The CMHO office continues to monitor the situation closely to ensure the health and safety of the public.
