Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Volunteers from various cities of Malwa region attended the day-long tri-annual meeting of the Akhil Bharatiya Grahak Panchayat (ABGP), Malwa region, held on Monday.
During the meeting, a detailed review of the past three months’ work was presented and a roadmap was laid out to expand the outreach in the coming quarter. The emphasis was on ensuring that the organisation’s efforts in promoting consumer awareness reached a wider section of society.
National organisational secretary Dinkar Sabnis addressed the workers and urged them to reach out to the most vulnerable sections of society, those often subjected to exploitation. He emphasised the importance of bringing such individuals into the fold of the Grahak Panchayat movement.
Since this year marks an election year for the Panchayat, a new executive committee for the Malwa region was announced. Devendra Dubge from Indore was appointed as president, while Yogesh Trivedi from Indore and Anurag Lokhande from Ratlam became vice presidents.
Mukesh Kaushal from Mhow took on the role of organizing secretary. Bahadur Singh Rajput from Indore was appointed secretary, with Suhas Pundlik from Indore and Navneet Sharma from Mandsaur as joint secretaries. Devendra Sisodiya from Indore became treasurer.
Deepika Solanki from Ujjain was appointed women’s awareness head and Dr Shashi Kala Chaudhary from Indore was appointed joint women’s awareness head.
