Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Twelve days after the mysterious disappearance of transporter Raja Raghuvanshi and his wife Sonam in Shillong, Raja's body was brought to the city on Wednesday.
The local police claim that he has been murdered. His body was found in a decomposed state. It was a sad moment for the parents as they were unaware about Raja's death till Wednesday, while Sanam's parents also appeared sorrowful and angry.
Raja's mother Uma hugged the coffin of Raja's body after she was informed that it was her son in the coffin. The family has also accused the Meghalaya government of negligence in searching for the couple. The SIT formed to probe continued its search for Sonam on Wednesday but to no avail.

The body of Raja was brought to his place in Sahakar Nagar near CAT Square around 5 pm on Wednesday and was later cremated at Regional Park Mukti Dham.
Brother Sachin Raghuwanshi alleged that the Meghalaya Government didn’t cooperate and did not start a search soon after receiving the couple's missing information.
He alleged that the robbers living in the valley rob couples coming from other states and added that they are also involved in human trafficking. He said that the gold ring and bracelet of Raja were missing.
Sonam’s mother alleged that if Meghalaya government had helped sooner, we wouldn't have had to see this day. I am worried about Sonam’s condition as what might be happening to her?
Son Govind is there and I spoke to him but I could not get any information about Sonam. Mother said that she too had last spoken to Sonam on Ekadashi, she said.
Raincoat recovered from near spot
SP (East Khasi Hills) Vivek Syiem informed the media persons that we have found a black wheat field coat with some stains on it a few meters away from the spot. However, we can’t say for sure if they are bloodstains. Only forensic tests can confirm that. We are checking the coat against available footage to see if it belongs to the missing woman. But we will need more examination to be certain, especially since it’s a 3XL-sized raincoat. The family members also were not sure that Sonam had taken a raincoat with her.
House sees both celebration and tragedy
The groom Raja's funeral procession was taken out from the same house on June 4 from where the wedding ceremony was celebrated on May 11. This was nothing less than a nightmare. Raja Raghuvanshi went to Shillong with his wife Sonam for his honeymoon, but only his body has returned 24 days on with a lot of questions.
Raja Raghuvanshi's brother Vipin has made very serious and shocking allegations in this entire case. He claimed that there was an atmosphere of fear in Shillong, the attitude of the local people and the police was suspicious. "We stayed in Shillong for 11 days, but every moment it felt as if something untoward was going to happen.
He alleged that there is a gang active there which kills men and sells the women. The brother claimed that a couple had disappeared from Shillong last month also, but the police did not even register a complaint. He said that a foreign national was murdered, his body was not even returned.
