Barnagar (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated Kabra Hospital and Research Centre here on Sunday. During the ceremony, he spoke about the importance of kindness and compassion among healthcare professionals. He said, ‘Medical service is the best service to humanity’ and urged doctors to prioritise these values.
Yadav said that hospitals could now apply for grants under the state's Medical Tourism Policy which are aimed at enhancing healthcare facilities. A religious ceremony was also organised for the worship of Lord Ganesha and Dhanvantari. The event was attended by MP Anil Firojiya and MLA Jitendra Singh Pandya.
He expressed his vision for the hospital to include a wellness centre and called for the establishment of medical colleges to provide comprehensive healthcare services. He also acknowledged the contributions of Sant Pandit Kamal Kishore Nagar Maharaj in cow service and extended his best wishes for Gudi Padwa.
Women celebrate Gangaur with heartfelt devotion
The town's atmosphere was filled with devotion as a large number of women participated in the celebration of Gangaur. Hundreds and thousands of devotees welcomed Mata Rani with heartfelt devotion. The festival was celebrated with the same enthusiasm as Diwali. Locals believe that the arrival of Khuvai at her maternal home from Saurashtra symbolises the joy of welcoming a daughter.
Over three days, devotees are eager to have darshan of Mata Rani and partake in daily distribution of Dhani Prasad. On Monday, women adorned in traditional attire gathered to worship. Women took out a procession with 2k jawaras, representing Matarani, passed through the main streets of the town. Devotees fulfilled their vows by offering Tuladan and singing traditional songs.
