Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel swift action averted a major tragedy and saved the life of a man who slipped while alighting from a moving train at Bhopal station.
As per Railway, Amarpal Singh, a resident of Gandhinagar, Bhopal had come to railway station to send off his family members who were boarding train number 18238 (Chhattisgarh Express) at platform number 01.
Amarpal had gone inside the coach to place the luggage when the train started to move. While getting down the coach, Amarpal lost his balance and slipped between the coach and the platform.

Acting swiftly, RPF constable Krishna Kumar, ran to the man and pulled him out. The man suffered only minor scratches, which were attended to at the dispensary located at the station.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) Saurabh Kataria said a major accident was averted when a passenger slipped and fell between the coach and the platform while alighting from the train, he added. The constable's alertness and quick response averted a serious accident, said the official. He also appealed to the passengers not to try to board or alight from a moving train.
Under the ‘Operation Jeevan Raksha’ being run in Bhopal division, the Railway Protection Force personnel remain constantly vigilant to ensure the safety of passengers, said senior DCM.
