Badnawar (Madhya Pradesh): An eight-year-old girl was crushed to death when the tractor driver took a reverse turn in Pitgara village on Friday afternoon. The girl was identified as Rukhma Meda, of Govindpura under Karvad police station, Petlawad.
She had come to the village with her family to harvest onions. As per reports, while the family members were harvesting onions, Rukhma and her elder sister Divya slept under the tractor-trolley due to heat. The tractor driver was also asleep.
After some time, Divya got up and went into the field, leaving her sister sleeping under the truck alone. Later, the tractor driver took a reverse turn without noticing someone sleeping under his truck. The girl’s head was crushed while he took a reverse turn and she died on the spot.
She was brought to Badnawar Civil Hospital by 108 Ambulance. Police registered a case against the driver and handed over the body to family members after autopsy.
60-year-old man killed as vehicle hits him
A 60-year-old man was killed when an unknown high-speed vehicle hit him in Nayapada village of Tilgara panchayat on Friday afternoon. As per reports, the incident happened when Bherulal was returning home after when he was hit by the vehicle. He suffered severe head injury and died on the spot. Villagers rushed him to civil hospital, where the doctor declared him brought dead. Police registered a case and handed over the body to family members.
