Union minister Thakur joins hundreds in yoga session

Dhar (Madhya Pradesh): In Mandu, Union minister of state Savitri Thakur joined hundreds of people for yoga at Jahaz Mahal, the famous tourist spot. Collector Priyank Mishra, government officers, students and local people also participated. Experts explained yoga benefits and safety tips during the event.

Minister Thakur said Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke at the UN General Assembly from Visakhapatnam, while Chief Minister Mohan Yadav addressed people from Bhopal. She noted that yoga helps connect mind, body and nature, following ancient Indian traditions from sages. Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat led another yoga session at Sai Badminton Hall with many participants.

NTPC concludes week-long yoga camp

Sanawad (Madhya Pradesh): NTPC Khargone marked the conclusion of its week-long Yoga Shivir on International Yoga Day. The initiative was held between 16th and 21st June. The concluding session was graced by V Mohan, GM (O&M), NTPC Khargone, who addressed the gathering.

Special sessions were also organised for senior citizens, women and children. The event concluded with a collective yoga demonstration, certificate distribution, and a pledge to carry forward the practice beyond the shivir.

Woman teaches yoga to many

Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh): Kriti Malik Gulati from Manasa inspires women and youth through yoga teaching. She trains 30-40 people regularly through online classes and webinars, helping people from different age groups and jobs. During COVID-19, Kriti gave free yoga training to over 1,000 people. This helped them fight sadness and depression while boosting their health.

She also trained 250 people under the Diabetes Free India programme, teaching them yoga's benefits for better living. On International Yoga Day, Kriti conducted a special session at L&T Company's Khimla plant. About 200 engineers, officers, and staff joined her yoga class to improve their physical and mental health. Kriti learned yoga from her father Mahesh Malik, a successful businessman from Manasa.

She also received training from top yoga teachers Dr HR Nagendra from Bangalore and RH Lata from Bhopal. She works with Indian Yoga Association, WICCI Foundation and Yoga Alliance USA.

Indira Sagar Power Station organises yoga session

Narmada Nagar (Madhya Pradesh): Indira Sagar Power Station held a big International Yoga Day celebration on Saturday at Maa Narmada Kala Bhawan.

Dr Subhash Chandra Sharma and his team from Patanjali Yoga Samiti, Khandwa taught healthy yoga poses and breathing exercises to everyone. Project Head Ajit Kumar started the programme by welcoming the yoga teachers with flowers.

Cabinet minister Nirmala Bhuria leads yoga session

Jhabua (Madhya Pradesh): On International Yoga Day, a Yoga Sangam was held at PM Shri Government Girls Higher Secondary School here on Saturday. The programme was headed by Cabinet Minister Nirmala Bhuria and collector Neha Meena, and SP Padmavilochan Shukla among other officials took part.

Yoga sessions held at various places

Alot (Madhya Pradesh): Numerous yoga camps were organised across the town on International Yoga Day on Saturday. Enthusiastic youth, students along with government employees performed yoga from 7 to 7:45 am at Ambedkar Bhawan and Gayatri Mandir Complex. Yoga Guru Vinod Mali said that yoga promotes both physical and mental health.

Yoga at police station, senior cops take part

Kasrawad (Madhya Pradesh): A yoga camp was organised at Police Station Kasrawad to celebrate International Yoga Day. The event saw participation from police staff, Nagar Raksha Samiti members and local citizens. Following the guidance of SP and ASP, inspector Rajendra Burman led the camp to promote a stress-free lifestyle and enhance physical and mental health.

Yoga and plantation at Sandipani School

Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh): Government Sandipani School in Sabakheda organised a yoga and plantation ceremony on International Yoga Day on Saturday. Senior BJP leader Ajay Singh Chauhan, mandal president Nepal Singh Sisodia and representatives from the Art of Living Institute guided students in yoga activities.

Following the yoga session, guests planted trees on school premises. Principal Dilip Singh Dabi addressed the event.

Yogacharya Sanjay Dixit leads yoga event

Sardarpur (Madhya Pradesh): A Block level Yoga Day was held at Janpad Panchayat Sardarpur to celebrate International Yoga Day, themed "Yoga for One Earth, One Health." Yogacharya Sanjay Dixit led the programme. SDM Asha Parmar emphasised yoga's role in reducing stress.

Various events organised on Yoga Day

Pansemal (Madhya Pradesh): Various events were organised on 11th International Yoga Day with District Urban Development Agency (DUDA) officials, administrative staff and public representatives in collective yoga practice. In Pawan Shri Garden, yoga teacher Sanjay Shirode taught attendees micro exercises and pranayama.

DUDA officer Shivji Arya and city council president Shailesh Bhandarkar attended the event. The event concluded with a commitment to daily yoga and environmental protection.
