The party took to X tagging Kishori Lal Sharma — the man who defeated Irani and wrote, "Thank you @KLSharmaINC Ji. Good luck @SmritiIrani Ji. Wishing you a great acting career ahead!"
In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Irani lost to Congress Loyalist Kishore Lal Sharma in Amethi by a margin of 1,67,196 votes.
