According to reports, a large crowd of RCB fans waiting to enter M. Chinnaswamy Stadium began banging on the gates after Bengaluru City Police urged them to leave the premises and watch the celebrations via livestream.

The first-ever IPL victory of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) turned tragic on Wednesday With Over 40 Injured and 8 Killed following a stampede near the Chinnaswamy Stadium here. The incident occurred while fans were attending the celebration event for the RCB team lifting the IPL 2025 trophy.

A large number of Royal Challengers Bengaluru fans have arrived at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium to catch a glimpse of their champion team. A RCB fan says, "Inside, also the seats are all full and that's why they are not letting us go in. We want to go back but we are not allowed to go back. The gates are crowded with people, even if they open the gates, people will start coming inside and a lot of people have been injured..."

According to reports, a large crowd of RCB fans waiting to enter M. Chinnaswamy Stadium began banging on the gates after Bengaluru City Police urged them to leave the premises and watch the celebrations via livestream. The situation spiralled out of control when some resorted to jumping over the gates and fences to get inside the stadium.
