Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Friday expressed strong support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, praising the Prime Minister's commitment to securing justice for the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack.

Speaking at a public event attended by PM Modi and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Kalyan called the Pahalgam attack "the darkest day for the entire nation."

"Blood was spilled in Kashmir, sending shockwaves across the country. I have seen and felt the pain of the victims," Kalyan told the gathering.

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for "carrying the nation's burdens" during a recent public event. This commendation came alongside expressions of solidarity from Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who pledged unwavering support to the Prime Minister.

"We are with you, whole Andhra is with you, the entire country is with you," Naidu declared to the gathering, emphasising the unified backing behind the Prime Minister.

The Chief Minister shared a personal observation about his recent interaction with PM Modi in Delhi, where he had gone to invite the Prime Minister for the Amaravati resort programme following the Pahalgam terror attack. Naidu noted the visible impact the tragedy had on Modi, saying he saw the "pain" of the attack reflected in the Prime Minister's demeanor.

Naidu described how their meeting, typically marked by cheerfulness, had instead taken on an uncharacteristically somber tone that day. The Chief Minister's remarks highlighted how deeply the Prime Minister had been affected by the terrorist incident, underscoring Modi's personal connection to national security challenges.

The praises for PM Modi from leaders in Andhra Pradesh were offered during his visit to the state, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for development projects valued at approximately ₹58,000 crore.

Earlier in the day, Pawan Kalyan, along with Governor Abdul Nazeer and CM Chandrababu Naidu, welcomed PM Modi at the Amaravati helipad.

Hours before PM's arrival here for re-launching Amaravati capital works, Naidu in a social media post stated, "Today is a proud and important day for the people of Andhra Pradesh. I warmly welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji to Amaravati as he arrives to restart the development of our people's capital," he posted. "Amaravati stands as a 'symbol of our shared hopes and dreams. This restart marks a new chapter of growth for our state," he added.
