Bathinda: After the Indian armed forces carried out 'Operation Sindoor' to target terror launch pads in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), an unidentified aircraft crashed in Punjab's Bathinda in the early hours of Wednesday. One farm labourer was killed and nine others were reportedly injured after the aircraft crashed in wheat fields in Aklian Khurd village at around 2 am.

The details of the crashed aircraft are not known yet. Locals recorded the video of the aircraft in flames. It soon went viral on social media. The Free Press Journal cannot verify the authenticity of the viral video.

Visuals Of The Crashed Aircraft:

Reports claimed that the aircraft crashed about 500 metres from an inhabited area. Authorities reached the spot after receiving the information.

Operation Sindoor:

India, in a tri-services 'Operation Sindoor', conducted precision strikes on terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) at 1:44 am on Wednesday, May 7. The 'Operation Sindoor' was launched by the Indian forces in response to the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir on April 22.

According to reports, the Indian forces targeted terrorist locations in Pakistan. In retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack, Indian armed forces carried out missile strikes early Wednesday, hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed, the Indian Army said.

Ties between India and Pakistan deteriorated following the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22 in which 26 people, mostly tourists, were killed.

India announced a series of punitive measures against Pakistan, including the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, shutting down of the only operational land border crossing at Attari and downgrading of diplomatic ties following the terror attack.

After the Pahalgam Attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had given a "free-hand" to defence forces to avenge the April 22 Pahalgam attack.
