Lucknow: The residents of the city have been enjoying pleasant weather following heavy rainfall that impacted the capital of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, April 9, 2025. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced that the city is likely to experience moderate to heavy rainfall on August 10, 2025.

Today's weather

According to the weather department, the minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to be around 27 degrees Celsius and 32 degrees Celsius, respectively. The skies are expected to be partly cloudy, and it will remain the same throughout the day. The weather department said that moderate to heavy rainfall is predicted in numerous districts, including the western and eastern divisions of the state, today.

The series of rains will continue for the next two to three days, providing respite from the heatwave. The rainfall is likely to be accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds. Today, the wind is expected to blow from the west at 10 km/h. The city woke up at 05:35 AM, and the sun is expected to set at 6: 47 PM. The humidity is likely to range around 90 per cent.

Rainfall is expected in these regions

Due to rain in many parts of UP, flood-like conditions have been created in the rivers Ganga, Yamuna, Saryu, Ramganga, Sharda, Ghaghra and Gomti. There is a possibility of intermittent heavy rains for the next week. The rainfall is expected in Bundelkhand region includes Jhansi, Banda, Hamirpur, Chitrakoot, Jalaun, Kanpur, Auraiya, Etawah, Farrukhabad, Etah, Mainpuri, Kasganj, Hathras, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Agra.

IMD advisory

According to the district magistrate, amid worsening weather conditions and continuous rainfall, all government and private schools from classes 1 to 12 in Bareilly. he river has been rising continuously since Saturday, triggering concerns of urban flooding.
