Lucknow: A clothing businessman, his wife, and their 16-year-old daughter were found unconscious in their flat on Monday morning, having tragically died by suicide after consuming poison. The incident came to light when their other daughter, Khyati, called her aunt, Tripti, informing her that her parents were unwell and urging them to come quickly.

Upon arrival, the family found the flat locked from the inside. They used a spare key given to them by the businessman, just a day prior. Police were immediately informed by victim's elder brother, Shekhar. Officers arrived at the flat in Ashrafabad, under the Chowk police station area, and rushed the three to Trauma Centre, where doctors declared them dead.

The deceased have been identified as Shobhit Rastogi, his wife Suchita, and daughter Khyati, a Class 11 student at Lucknow Public School, Rajajipuram. Shobhit owned "Jugal Fashion Point" in Rajajipuram.

Police recovered a suicide note from the flat, which stated, "We are troubled by debt. We took a loan from the bank and are unable to repay it. The loan is constantly increasing. We have no option left but to take our lives."

Broken bangles were also found at the scene. Forensic teams are investigating, and a freshly opened cold drink bottle was seized. Police suspect the suicide was planned.

Neighbors and family members expressed shock, stating that Shobhit always appeared happy and never revealed any financial distress. Neighbors noted that bank representatives frequently visited the house, and it's suspected he had a debt of around ₹40-45 lakh.
