Rampur: A shocking incident surfaced from Uttar Pradesh's Rampur district, where an 11-year-old speech-and-hearing-impaired girl was allegedly raped. The police have arrested the accused after an encounter. The girl went missing on Tuesday evening.
The rape survivor was found naked and injured in a field, around 500 metres from her home on Wednesday morning half naked, reported The Times of India. Her face was also reportedly swollen. She was then rushed to a hospital. The girl was then reportedly referred to Meerut for better treatment.
Police Arrested Accused:
As per the media report, there were multiple injuries on the girl's body. Cigarette burn marks on her private parts and bite marks were also found on her body.
After receiving the information, the police swung into action. Cops scanned CCTV cameras installed in the area. The suspect was then identified as 24-year-old Dan Singh. He is a resident of the girl's village.
"This is a clear case of rape by one or more persons as there were multiple injuries on her private parts. Her face had been struck with a blunt object, leaving it swollen. The girl's clothes were stained with blood. We completed the medico-legal examination and referred her to a higher centre. She was terrified and unable to explain anything. It is one of the most horrific sexual crimes I have seen," Dr Anju Singh, who conducted the girl's medical examination told The Times of India.
An FIR has been lodged based on the complaint filed by the girl's father. The police then reportedly formed three teams to nab the accused.
A detailed investigation has been launched into the matter.
