Work has commenced on the Uttar Pradesh Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Cluster in Unnao, with the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority finalizing an action plan focused on internal infrastructure.
The project, covering 135.26 hectares near the Lucknow-Kanpur State Highway, will be developed under the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction model with a budget of ₹30 crore. The planned development is expected to be completed within 12 months. UPEIDA’s blueprint includes construction of boundary walls, fire stations, pump rooms, borewells, water tanks, entry gates, roads, power substations, lighting systems, underground electrical cabling, mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services, and signage installation. Drainage and sewage treatment infrastructure are also part of the project.

The Unnao node is one of 33 Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Clusters announced last year across 30 districts of the state. The site benefits from strong connectivity to the Ganga Expressway, nearby highways, railway stations, and the Lucknow International Airport.
The project is positioned to enhance logistics efficiency and attract industrial investment, though the actual pace of development and utilization by private enterprises will determine its long-term success. UPEIDA has stated that all necessary formalities are complete, and on-ground work will begin shortly.
