Lucknow: On May 20, 2025, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh made his first public appearance in Lucknow following the successful execution of Operation Sindoor.
Addressing an event commemorating the 25th anniversary of Dr. KNS Memorial Hospital, Singh lauded the Indian Armed Forces for their precision in targeting terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. He likened the military's actions to those of skilled surgeons, emphasizing their ability to strike at the root of terrorism with unmatched accuracy.
Singh highlighted the challenges faced during the operation, noting that Pakistan's retaliatory attacks targeted civilian and religious sites. He commended the Indian forces for their measured response, ensuring minimal collateral damage while effectively neutralizing threats.
The Defence Minister also drew parallels between the roles of soldiers and doctors, underscoring the rigorous training and critical decision-making inherent in both professions.

The event served as a platform to honor the bravery of the Indian Armed Forces and to reaffirm the government's stance against terrorism. Singh's visit to Lucknow underscored the significance of Operation Sindoor in India's ongoing efforts to combat cross-border terrorism and maintain national security.
