UP Minister Injured During Mandakini River Cleanup In Chitrakoot; Three Truckloads Of Waste Removed

Uttar Pradesh's Water Resources Minister led a cleanliness drive at Mandakini River in Chitrakoot on Sunday, removing approximately three truckloads of waste during the hour-long initiative. The minister was joined by junior Water Resources Minister Ramkesh Nishad and local BJP leaders in manually extracting water hyacinths and debris from the river.  

The operation turned hazardous when Minister Nishad lost balance and fell into the river, sustaining a fractured arm that required immediate medical attention. He was treated onsite before being transported for further care.  

The cleanup forms part of a two-day interstate program extending from Sati Anusuya to Rajapur along the UP-Madhya Pradesh border.
