Greater Noida, May 29: In a terrifying incident, a youth jumped to death from the 16th-floor terrace of a building in Greater Noida. The tragic incident occurred in Gaur City Center which is located in Greater Noida. The youngster died after jumping from the 16th-floor terrace of the building and falling on the balcony of the 3rd floor. A video has surface on social media showing the damaged roof of the apartment where the youth fell to death.
As per reports, a 20-year-old youngster identified as Aryan Sharma, originally from Aniruddhpur Bahedi in Bareilly district, died after jumping from the 16th-floor terrace of a studio apartment in Gaur City Center in Greater Noida on Thursday (May 29) evening.

Details About The Incident
According to police reports, Aryan jumped from the terrace area of a 16th-floor apartment and fell onto the balcony of the 3rd floor. Security guards and local residents immediately rushed to help and took him to a nearby private hospital. Unfortunately, the doctors declared him dead upon arrival. He was taken to the district hospital in Sector-39, where he was officially pronounced dead.
Mysterious Lifestyle
There are reports that Aryan had been living alone in a rented studio apartment at Gaur City Center for the past one and a half months. Police said that he was neither working nor studying during that time and had limited contact with his family. His isolated and unusual behaviour has raised concerns and curiosity about his mental state and lifestyle.
Suspected Suicide Due to Mental Stress
Police stated that the exact reason behind the incident is still unknown. However, it is suspected that Aryan was suffering from mental stress, which may have led him to take the drastic step. No suicide note was found and no complaints have been filed so far. Police have informed the family based on documents found in his possession. His mobile phone and other belongings are being examined for clues.
Negligence Alleged by Residents
Residents of the apartment complex have accused the building management of negligence. They claim that there is easy access to the 16th-floor terrace without any proper safety measures like railings or barricades.
CCTV surveillance on the terrace is also reported to be inactive. According to them, proper security arrangements could have possibly prevented the tragic incident. They are demanding a high-level investigation into the role of the building management.
The police have conducted a site inspection with the field unit and have sent the body for post-mortem after completing the legal formalities. Further investigation is underway.
Police Statement
The police issued a statement in connection with the matter and said, "On the date 29.05.2025, Bisrakh police station received information that a person named Aryan Sharma, son of Ramanand Sharma, resident of Anurodhpur Bahedi, District Bareilly, approximately 20 years old, jumped from the terrace area of the 16th floor of an apartment at Gaur City Center and fell onto the third floor. He was admitted to the hospital in an injured condition, where doctors declared him dead. The Bisrakh police, along with the field unit, inspected the incident site and the hospital. Legal formalities for the inquest report (Panchayatnama) are being carried out, and the body is being sent for post-mortem examination."
