Chief Minister KCR on Sunday declared an all-out war against the Central government on the farm legislation and petrol prices in India. Addressing media persons in the state capital, the chief minister demanded that the Central government waive the cess imposed by it on petroleum products.

He said the government was not sincere in the petrol price index and alleged that it was intentionally branding the states as the foes of the commoners after reducing meager rates on petrol and diesel products respectively.

The crude oil rates after the taking over of the BJP witnessed a drastic decrease, but the Centre has increased the rates of petrol products periodically, KCR alleged saying that these rates were imposed deliberately to burden the commoner.

The CM further stated that the BJP was compelled to reduce the rate index nominally after it suffered a drubbing in the recent by-polls.

If the cess is waived completely on the petroleum products, the states, and the country would be able to provide the petrol products at reasonable rates, he asserted.

Making a scathing attack on the Centre over the petroleum rate index, the chief minister categorically announced that the TRS would launch a struggle on the matter till the cess is waived.

On the farm legislations and farm issues as well, the TRS leader announced an open war on the BJP and accused the party leaders and the state-level BJP units of playing with the public according to their whims and fancies.

While the Delhi BJP was trying to convince the states with their dual-standard approaches, the state-level BJP units were trying to ignite confusion by unleashing malicious publicity, he alleged. Continuing his attack on BJP, the CM said that the Centre was trying to play with the interests of the farmer for their vested interests. TRS would launch the struggle for the farmers and asserted that the welfare measures initiated by the government would be implemented uninterruptedly, he said.
