Amroha: Stones were allegedly pelted on a Dalit wedding procession in Rahdra village of Amroha. Reportedly, some people from the Yadav community pelted stones on the wedding procession. Police reached the spot after getting information about the stone pelting. It is being said that the police also had to use mild force to control the situation.

Bhim Army has raised this issue and called it an attack on Dalits. The organisation has not only questioned the role of the police but has also criticised the silence of the Samajwadi Party regarding the issue.

Reportedly, some local residents objected to the people who had come with the wedding procession, after which the situation escalated and the altercation between the two sides took a violent turn. Four wedding guests were injured in the incident. They have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

According to local media, the dispute may be related to some previous matter, which suddenly turned violent. The police team reached the spot and faced difficulty in controlling the situation, due to which force had to be used.
