Jhalawar: The Rajasthan Education Department on Friday suspended five teachers with immediate effect after a roof collapse at a government school in Jhalawar district killed seven students and left 28 others injured.
Staff members including Meena Garg, Javed Ahmad, Ramvilas Lavvanshi, Kanhaiyalal Suman, and Badrilal Lodha were suspended by the District Education Officer (Headquarters)

Reacting to the tragedy Rajasthan Chief Minister said, "It is a tragic incident. I am saddened by the death of innocent children in this incident. The state government is with the family members of those who are affected by this...The administration has been directed to provide better treatment for the injured."
"Rajasthan Health Minister Madan Dilawar has been sent to review the situation...The state government has directed district collectors to ensure that no building is in a state of disrepair. An investigation will be conducted, and it will be ensured that no such incident happens again," he added.
