New Delhi: Speaking during the discussion on Operation Sindoor in the Lok Sabha on Monday, NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) MP Supriya Sule lauded Prime Minister Modi for appointing opposition leaders to lead the all-party delegation to convey India’s message of zero tolerance against terrorism following the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor.
"When it comes to national duty, first comes the country, then the state, then party and then family. PM Modi has shown a big heart by appointing Opposition leaders to lead the all-party delegation," the Baramati MP said.
AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi Congratulated Armed Forces
AIMIM chief Asadudin Owaisi, who was also part of the all-party delegation, also spoke during the discussion."I congratulate our armed forces. They have made India's Operation Sindoor a success. For me, destroying the terror camp in Bahawalpur was the biggest achievement... Pakistan Army, ISI, and their deep state want to weaken India," he said.
Congress MP Praniti Shinde Calls Operation Sindoor 'Tamasha'
Hitting out at the government, Congress MP from Solapur said, "Operation Sindoor was nothing but a 'tamasha' of the government in the media."
"No one is telling us what was achieved in this Operation. How many terrorists were caught? How many fighter jets did we lose? Who is responsible and whose mistake is this, should be answered by the government," she said.
Debate On Operation Sindoor
A debate on Operation Sindoor is ongoing in the Lok Sabha and a similar debate is scheduled to take place in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, July 29. Parliament has allocated 16 hours in each house to allow a detailed discussion on the operation and its wider national implications. Similar to Lok Sabha, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will open the discussion on Operation Sindoor in the Rajya Sabha.
PM Modi To Address The House
PM Narendra Modi is likely to address either house of the Parliament at around 7 pm on Tuesday. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is also expected Speak at noon in Lok Sabha tomorrow.
