In the latest edition of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commended the achievements of Uttar Pradesh’s youth, particularly three athletes who broke national records at the Khelo India Youth Games 2025 held in Bihar. Qadir Khan (Bareilly), Sheikh Zeeshan (Varanasi), and Tushar Chaudhary (Bijnor) earned national recognition for their exceptional performances. The PM also lauded UP’s significant progress in honey production.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, attending the NDA Chief Ministers’ meeting in New Delhi, listened to the program and later posted congratulations to the athletes on ‘X’. He credited their discipline and dedication, and emphasized how the ‘Khelo India’ initiative is gaining strength under the Prime Minister’s guidance.

CM Yogi also reiterated the state’s success in beekeeping through the ‘Madhumaya Abhiyan’, citing nearly 60% growth in honey production. He described it as a transformative mission enhancing health, livelihoods, and self-reliance, in alignment with the National Beekeeping and Honey Mission.
Highlighting individual performances, Bareilly’s Qadir Khan broke the 400m record twice, representing FR Islamia Inter College. Varanasi’s Sheikh Zeeshan, son of an auto driver, claimed triple jump gold under challenging circumstances. Bijnor’s Tushar Chaudhary, a farmer’s son, lifted 289 kg to win in weightlifting’s 102 kg category. CM Yogi congratulated each athlete personally.
