After inaugurating and laying foundation stone of various development projects in Gujarat's Dahod, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday lauded Nari Shakti.
Speaking at a public event, PM Modi said, "I was in Vadodara before coming here, thousands of mothers and sisters had come, they had come to celebrate the Indian armed forces. Here as well, you all are giving your blessings for Operation Sindoor by showing Tiranga… What terrorists did in J&K, will India, Modi sit quietly, if anyone tries to wipe off the Sindoor of our sisters, it becomes important to finish them. The Operation Sindoor is not just a military action, but it is the expression of our emotions. The terrorists would not have imagined in dreams how difficult it is to confront Modi... The blood boils seeing the pictures of Pahalgam attack, hence Modi did what our countrymen wanted as they chose me as PM..."
Here PM highlighted the country's growth over the past decade, PM stated on Monday that India has advanced in every sector during his tenure.
PM Modi recalled that he took the oath as the country's Prime Minister on the same date in 2014. "Today is May 26. On the same date in 2014, I took the oath as the Prime Minister for the first time." PM Modi stated.
PM said that he has dedicated day and night to serving the people of the nation.
"All of you in Gujarat have given me abundant blessings, and later, millions of people across the country have also not held back in giving me their blessings. With the strength of your blessings, I have been dedicated day and night to serving the people of the nation," he said.
"In these years, the country has taken decisions that were unimaginable and unprecedented. In these years, the country has broken chains that were decades old. The country has progressed in every sector," said PM Modi, adding that the country has come out of the darkness of despair and is hoisting the tricolour in the light of confidence. "Today we 140 crore Indians are together working hard to make our country a developed India," the Prime Minister said.
The Prime Minister commenced and dedicated numerous development initiatives valued at more than Rs 24,000 crore in the region. These initiatives encompass railway infrastructure projects and several state government schemes from Gujarat.
PM Modi launched an Indian Railways locomotive manufacturing facility in Dahod that will manufacture 9000 HP electric locomotives for both national use and international markets. These locomotives are expected to enhance the cargo-carrying capabilities of Indian Railways.
Additionally, he ceremonially dispatched the inaugural electric locomotive produced at the facility.
The Prime Minister has begun a two-day official visit to Gujarat starting today.
