New Delhi: How often do you use abusive language in your daily life? What kind of abuses do you use? A survey report cited by TV9 Bharatvarsh revealed that people in Delhi use the most abusive language. Abusive words targeting mothers, sisters, and daughters are reportedly the most common in the capital. According to the survey, 80% of people in Delhi use abusive language in their daily lives.

What The Survey Says About Other States?

Punjab comes second, with 78% of respondents admitting to using abusive language. Uttar Pradesh (UP) and Bihar follow closely at 74% each. Rajasthan stands at 68%, and Haryana at 62%.

Maharashtra ranks next at 58%, followed by neighboring Gujarat at 55%. Madhya Pradesh comes in at 48%, and Uttarakhand at 45%.

Jammu & Kashmir ranks lowest on the list, with only 15% of respondents reporting the use of abusive language.

About The Survey

Dr. Sunil Jaglan, founder of the Selfie with Daughter Foundation and Professor of Practice at Maharishi Dayanand University, launched the “Gaali Band Ghar Abhiyan” (No Abuses at Home Campaign) and conducted a long-term survey as part of the initiative.

A sample of 70,000 people participated in this survey, which was conducted over a span of 11 years. The participants represented a wide cross-section of society, including youth, parents, teachers, doctors, auto drivers, school and college students, policemen, lawyers, businessmen, sanitation workers, professors, and panchayat members.
