New Delhi: The Pakistan government's X handle has been withheld in India. The development came hours after New Delhi announced a series of diplomatic sanctions against Islamabad in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack in which 28 people were killed.

"Account Withheld @GovtofPakistan has been withheld in IN in response to a legal demand,” a message appears on the X handle.

Error Message:

Earlier on Wednesday night, India imposed five-point diplomatic sanctions against Pakistan for its alleged role in the Pahalgam terror attack that took place on April 22.

India's Diplomatic Sanctions Against Islamabad:

The announcement was made by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri during a press conference after the high-level Cabinet Committee on Security or CCS meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded on Wednesday.

India suspended the Indus Waters Treaty of 1960 with immediate effect until Pakistan credibly and irrevocably abjured its support for cross-border terrorism. The integrated checkpost Attari has also been closed. Indian nationals who have crossed over with valid endorsements may return through that route before May 1, 2025.

Pakistani nationals are not permitted to travel to India under the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme (SVES) visas. Any SVES visas issued in the past to Pakistani nationals are deemed cancelled. Any Pakistani national currently in India under SVES visa has 48 hours to leave India.

The Defence, Military, Naval, and Air Advisors in the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi are declared persona non grata. They have a week to leave India. India withdrew its own Defence, Navy and Air advisors from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad. These posts in the respective High Commissions are deemed annulled.

On Tuesday, a group of five to six terrorists attacked tourists at Baisaran meadows in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam. They singled out Hindus and shot them dead.
