Srinagar: Disturbing visuals of a terrorist opening fire on tourists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam surfaced online. The video, shot by one of the tourists on Tuesday, shows the exact moment when one of the terrorists shot at tourists enjoying their vacations at Baisaran meadows in Pahalgam.

Sounds of gunshots and screams of the tourists could also be heard in the video. In the video, it could be seen that the terrorist opened fired at the tourists after rounding them up. The terrorists singled out Hindus and shot them dead.

Exact Moment when Terrorists Open Fire:

The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), claimed responsibility for the attack. According to reports, five to six terrorists carried out the attack, killing 28 people. Out of the 28 deceased, 27 were tourists and one was a pony guide, named Syed Adil Hussain Shah.

5-Point Sanctions Imposed By India:

A day after the attack, India on Wednesday announced five-point sanctions against Pakistan.

1) India suspended the Indus Waters Treaty of 1960 with immediate effect until Pakistan credibly and irrevocably abjured its support for cross-border terrorism.

2) The integrated checkpost Attari has also been closed. Indian nationals who have crossed over with valid endorsements may return through that route before May 1, 2025.

3) Pakistani nationals are not permitted to travel to India under the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme (SVES) visas. Any SVES visas issued in the past to Pakistani nationals are deemed cancelled. Any Pakistani national currently in India under SVES visa has 48 hours to leave India.

4) The Defence, Military, Naval, and Air Advisors in the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi are declared persona non grata. They have a week to leave India.

5) India withdrew its own Defence, Navy and Air advisors from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad. These posts in the respective High Commissions are deemed annulled.

According to reports, digital footprints of the terrorists have reportedly been traced to Muzaffarabad and Karachi. However, Pakistan denied its involvement in the attack.
