After India unveiled details of the terrorist camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) that were targeted during Operation Sindoor—launched to avenge the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack—on Wednesday morning, the Indian Army later in the day shared specific information about Target 1. It provided details on how, when, and why the Abbas Terrorist Camp at Kotli, located 13 km from the Line of Control (LoC) in PoJK, was targeted.

In a post on X, the Indian Army stated that the camp, which served as a key training facility for over 50 terrorists, was destroyed at 1:04 AM on May 7.

The Army described the Abbas Terrorist Camp as the "nerve centre for training suicide bombers of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT)."

The Indian armed forces carried out missile strikes in early hours of Wednesday on nine terror targets in Pakistan and PoK, including the Jaish-e-Mohammad stronghold of Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba's base Muridke.

The missile strikes were carried out in retaliation, two weeks after the Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 tourists were killed.

Meanwhile, the Union government has called an all-party leaders’ meeting at 11 AM on Thursday.

Earlier today, PM Modi briefed the Union Cabinet on India’s precision military operation. Calling it a “moment of pride for all of us,” PM described the tri-service attack as a 'perfect strike' for the flawless execution by the armed forces and lauded India’s resolve to strike back hard against terror networks operating from across the border.
