Jagatsinghpur: A disturbing incident has come to light from Odhisha's Jagatsinghpur. Here, two brothers allegedly gang-raped a 15-year-old girl, impregnated her and then attempted to bury her alive, according to NDTV.
The police have arrested the two accused brothers, identified as Bhagyadhar Das and Panchanan Das from Banashbara village, while a third accused, Tulu, is on the run. Police have launched a manhunt to nab him.
The accused, who worked at a nearby mutt, raped the minor multiple times over an extended period. When they got to know that she was pregnant, they allegedly attempted to bury her alive to hide their crime.
The survivor underwent a medical examination at the District Headquarters Hospital, and a case was filed following a formal complaint registered by her father at Kujang Police Station.
The two arrested suspects have been presented in court, and further probe is underway.

Earlier in the week, a 15-year-old school girl returning home from a friend’s birthday party in south Odisha’s Malkangiri was kidnapped by three men and raped on Sunday evening.
The survivor was trying to come back home when a truck driver picked her up on Malkangiri-Jeypore highway at Bijaghati and sexually assaulted her. She was eventually rescued by some locals. The four accused, including the truck driver, have been arrested, police said on Tuesday.
