Bengaluru: A woman was arrested on Sunday for allegedly hitting an autorickshaw driver with slippers in Karnataka's capital Bengaluru. The incident was caught on camera. After the video went viral on social media, the woman, Pankhuri Mishra, was arrested by police. She was released on station bail on Sunday. Later, another video surfaced online, in which she and her husband could be seen apologising to the autorickshaw and touching his feet.
The woman was travelling on a scooter with her husband when the incident took place. Mishra claimed that the driver, Lokesh, ran over her feet which triggered her as she was pregnant and got worried.

However, the autorickshaw driver denied Mishra's charge that he ran over her foot, reported NDTV. After the incident, Lokesh started recording the video of the woman hitting him with slippers.
In the video, she could be heard saying, "Banaega video? Chal bana video (Will you make a video? Go make a video)." She then called somebody and told that person that the driver was "misbehaving" with her and recording her video.
In the video, Mishra's husband could be seen sitting on the scooter. The driver told the people who gathered at the spot that Mishra started arguing with him in Hindi, instead of Kannada, reported the media house.
Later, another video surfaced in which the woman and her husband could be seen apologising to the autorickshaw driver. They even touched the driver's feet. Mishra said that, when the driver ran over her foot, she got panicked.

"I apologise. I am pregnant. So, that is what I was thinking, what would happen if I had a miscarriage," she told the driver as quoted by the media house.
She also said she doesn't have hatred towards Kannadigas. Meanwhile, her husband said that they had been living in Bengaluru for three months and they loved the city more than their hometown. Notably, the woman is reportedly a resident of Bihar.
