A multi-storey building collapsed in Chandigarh on Monday. The incident took place in Sector 17 of the union territory.

After receiving the information, authorities rushed to the spot. A relief and rescue operation is currently underway.

So far there are no reports of any casualties. The mount to collateral damage is yet to be ascertained.

Meanwhile, a video of the collapse has surfaced online. The video was reportedly recorded by locals. he incident took place at the early hours of the day on January 6.

The video taken by the locals show spine-chilling visuals as the building standing erect turns into dust within seconds. Police were informed shortly after the incident took place at around 7:15 AM according to IANS report.
