Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh: In a shocking incident from Moradabad, a 25-year-old man collapsed and died of a suspected heart attack while walking to his shop in Bhojpur town on Wednesday, May 21. This marks the third such sudden death of a young passer-by in the district within the last two months.
The deceased, identified as Rehan Qureshi, was a resident of Mohalla Badi Mandi in Bhojpur. He had just stepped out of his house after dinner to walk to his SIM card retail shop. However, within minutes of leaving home, he appeared to stumble and suddenly fell to the ground, on top of a street dog sleeping on the roadside, according to eyewitnesses.

Nearby pedestrians rushed to Rehan's aid, but found him unresponsive. He was initially taken to a nearby private clinic where doctors declared him dead upon arrival. His family then rushed him to Moradabad in the hope of reviving him, but it was too late. “By the time we reached the hospital, his body had already gone cold,” a family member said, as quoted by Dainik Bhasker.
Doctors Suspect Cardiac Arrest, Not Heat Stroke
According to a report by Dainik Bhaskar, Mohammad Aslam, the Medical Officer in charge of the local Community Health Centre, commented on the incident, saying, “The likelihood of heat stroke seems low, as the individual had just exited a cool indoor environment. A sudden cardiac event is more plausible, but confirmation will depend on the post-mortem report."
Rehan had been married only seven months ago and is survived by his wife Najma, father Gufran, mother Rukhsana, and three siblings. With three similar fatalities in Moradabad in recent weeks, all involving young men in their twenties, concerns are mounting over underlying health or environmental factors contributing to these sudden deaths.
Authorities have urged young people to undergo regular health check-ups, even in the absence of symptoms.
