Mangaluru: A shocking incident surfaced from Karnataka's Mangaluru, where a retired BSNL employee allegedly tried to kill his neighbour. The accused, 69-year-old Satish Kumar KM, reportedly attempted to murder his neighbour Murali Prasad by ramming his car into his bike..
Notably, a dispute was going on between both neighbours due to which the 69-year-old man tried to run his car over his neighbour. The BSNL employee also hit a woman with his car. The incident, which took place on March 13 at 6th Main Road in Bijai Kapikad, was caught on CCTV installed in the area. The disturbing video of the incident also surfaced online.
Satish Kumar was waiting in his car for Murli Prasad. As soon as he saw his neighbour going on his motorbike, he accelerated his car. The retired BSNL employee then rammed his white-coloured car into Murali Prasad's bike. However, a pedestrian woman came in the way of the car. Due to to impact of the collision she was flung in the air and got stuck on the compound wall of a house. After the collision, residents of the area rushed to the spot and first rescued the woman.
Murali Prasad also sustained injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital, reported India Today. After receiving the information, the police swung into action and arrested Satish Kumar. His car was also seized by cops.
A case has been filed against the retired BSNL employee. He was produced before the court and was remanded to judicial custody.
As per the India Today report, In 2023 Satish Kumar also allegedly abused and collided with Murali Prasad's father and was booked by the Urwa police.
A detailed investigation has been launched into the matter.
