Three people, including a student were rescued by the disaster management and fire brigade personnel on Thursday. They were stranded in a severely waterlogged crematorium following heavy rains in Maharashtra's Wardha district, officials said.
Since early morning, the area at Digdoh village in Devli taluka of Wardha has witnessed flooding due to heavy rain.
District disaster response management officer Shubham Ghorpade told PTI that at around 12 pm, a school student and two other youth got stuck at a cement structure in the crematorium.
A team of fire brigade and disaster management personnel reached the spot immediately after being informed and later rescued all three of them, he added.
