New Delhi: The Indian Army on Sunday shared a new video on X (formerly Twitter) showcasing its retaliatory military campaign Operation Sindoor, which was launched earlier this month in response to the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam. The video was posted by the Western Command and captioned, "Planned, trained & executed… Justice served."

The clip, which featured commentary from Army personnel, described the emotional and strategic buildup to the operation. A voiceover in the clip stated, “The anger was like molten lava. There was only one thought in mind — this time, we will teach such a lesson that their generations will remember.” The statement underlines the sentiment within the forces following the attack that killed 26 civilians in Jammu and Kashmir last month.

Operation Sindoor: A Coordinated Response to Pahalgam Attack

Operation Sindoor was initiated on May 7, targeting nine terror-linked sites across Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). These strikes followed the terror attack in Pahalgam, which marked one of the deadliest in the region in recent years.

Indian forces conducted a calibrated offensive, destroying enemy posts that were reportedly involved in ceasefire violations. According to the Army, any hostile installation breaching the truce was "destroyed" during night operations on May 9.

Retaliation, Escalation, and Ceasefire Agreement

In the aftermath of India’s military action, Pakistan responded with shelling and drone movements along the Line of Control (LoC) and border areas. India countered with a second wave of precision strikes, targeting radar facilities, communication hubs, and airbases at 11 Pakistani military installations.

Despite the brief escalation, a ceasefire was agreed upon by both nations on May 10, with no further hostilities reported since.

The video ends with a message emphasising justice over revenge, reiterating the Army’s stance: “It wasn’t an act of revenge. It was justice.”
