Karnataka Rains: Wall Collapses In Belagavi Due To Heavy Showers, 3-Year-Old Child Dies (VIDEO)

A wall collapsed in Karnataka's Belagavi on Monday due to heavy rains. A three-year-old girl died in the incident.

Belagavi: A wall collapsed in Karnataka's Belagavi on Monday due to heavy rains. A three-year-old girl died in the incident. Meanwhile, a four-year-old girl was also injured in the wall collapse. The deceased has been identified as Kirtila Nagesh Pujari.

Authorities reached the spot after receiving the information. The injured child was rushed to a hospital. Meanwhile, Pujari's body was taken to Gokak Government Hospital mortuary.

Police At The Spot:

On Monday, Heavy rains lashed Karnataka, throwing life out of gear. Parts of the southern state, including Bengaluru saw sporadic rainfall, while moderate Mysuru witnessed moderate showers. Schools and colleges were shut in Mysuru and Kodagu districts of the state due to heavy rainfall.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is predicted in the coastal areas of Karnataka till May 27 due to the Southwest Monsoon.
