A disturbing CCTV footage capturing a brutal road rage incident has gone viral on social media, showing a reckless Thar driver, traveling on the wrong side of the road, crashing into an oncoming scooter. The video further reveals the driver reversing his SUV over the elderly scooterist after the initial collision. The incident reportedly occurred in Jammu on Sunday around 2:20 PM.
The video shows the Thar driver operating the vehicle in the wrong lane, leading to a collision with the scooter. Instead of assisting the injured elderly man, the driver callously reverses the SUV at high speed, running over the victim a second time. Bystanders watched in shock but failed to intervene as the driver exited the vehicle, verbally abused the injured man, and fled the scene.
The driver’s heartless actions have sparked widespread condemnation online, with users demanding strict legal action. Many labeled the act as "attempted murder."
"This is literally attempted murder. First, the Thar driver came from the wrong side, causing the victim to fall. Then, he deliberately reversed into him, unprovoked! Such negligence warrants immediate jail time," wrote one user.
"He clearly intended to harm that man, look how aggressively he reversed! The victim was nearly crushed under the wheels. Horrific!" commented another.
"Only cowards attack elderly people. Authorities must take strict action," added a third.

"Following the Thar-scooty collision near Green Belt Park,Gandhi Nagar on 27.07.2025, Police have invoked Sec 109 BNS after eyewitnesses revealed deliberate intent to harm. The Thar was seized,its owner detained & hunt is on to nab the absconding driver. Investigation continues," Jammu police said on X.
