Badaun (Uttar Pradesh), June 17: In a surprising incident, a man was left heartbroken just 13 days after his marriage in Uttar Pradesh' Badaun. There are reports that his wife eloped with her lover days after their wedding. The police reportedly caught them and brought to the police station. The husband was called to the station where he broke down in tears in front of the police and other people present o the spot.
The man started crying at the police station after seeing his wife. He said, "Thank God I am alive. If I had taken her on a honeymoon, I might have ended up like Raja Raghuvanshi."
He then told his wife, "Seeing his wife with another man, he said, “You left with your lover, but at least you didn’t try to kill me. Stay happy,” and walked out of the police station."
As per reports, a young man from a village in Bisoulu area got married on May 17. He was happy after marriage and his wife stayed at his house (in-laws' house) for 13 days. The newly married woman went to her parents' house for few days. She ran away with her lover from there.
The man received the news of her elopement on June 10 after which the father of the woman registered a missing report at the local police station. The police caught the woman and her lover on Monday (June 16) and brought them to the police station.

When the husband reached the police station and saw his wife with her lover, he was deeply hurt and told the police, “From today, this relationship is over.” He also gave a written statement to the police that he no longer wants to stay in connection with his wife. He was planning a honeymoon but now says that he is thankful that he is safe.
