Bulandshahr: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light. State-level Kabaddi player Brijesh Solanki, a resident of Farana village in UP's Bulandshahr, tragically died of rabies after being bitten by a puppy he had rescued. The heartbreaking incident took place three days ago.
A disturbing video of Brijesh Solanki suffering from the effects of rabies is making the rounds on the internet. The footage shows the Kabaddi player experiencing a violent rabies attack, visibly writhing in pain while lying on a bed. In the video, Solanki can be seen screaming in agony.
Puppy Bites During Rescue
Earlier in March, a puppy had fallen into a drain in his village. Brijesh reached in to rescue it, but during the act, the puppy bit his right hand's finger. Brijesh neglected it, thinking that it was a minor injury and did not get an anti-rabies vaccine.
Brijesh Solanki's condition worsened rapidly after showing symptoms of rabies last Thursday. When he woke up that morning, he noticed numbness in his right hand. By the afternoon, the numbness had spread throughout his body. He was first taken to Jeevan Jyoti Hospital in Aligarh district, where doctors referred him to a higher medical center.
He was then taken to a government medical college, but after observing clear symptoms of rabies, doctors there declined to admit him, citing the severity and incurability of the disease at that stage. Left with no choice, the family rushed him to an Ayurvedic medicine center in Mathura, where he briefly showed signs of improvement after receiving herbal treatment.
However, his condition deteriorated again, and he was rushed to GTB Hospital in Delhi. There, based on his symptoms, doctors confirmed rabies and informed the family that treatment would no longer be effective.

On Friday morning, while the family was bringing Brijesh back to his village, he tragically died on the way.
