Gulmarg, a town nestled in the Pir Panjal Range of the Western Himalayas at an altitude of 8,690 feet above sea level is the most popular hill station in Kashmir.
Gulmarg has been aptly christened, which when translated, literally means ‘Meadow of Flowers’ as its landscape is dotted with colourful Bluebells, Daisies, Forget Me Not and Buttercup flowers.

Originally referred to as Gaurimarg, its proximity to Srinagar makes it one of the most popular hill stations in Kashmir.

Gulmarg has the world’s best natural sights along with a huge scope of adventure activities that are fit to amaze any sort of traveller.
The Kashmiri hill station has one of Asia's longest and highest cable car rides comprising two stages-Gulmarg to Kongdoori and Kongdoori to Apharwat Peak.
It also has one of the largest (18-hole) golf courses in the country. Situated at an altitude of 2,650 meters, it is also the highest green golf course in the world.
