New Delhi: India, in a tri-services 'Operation Sindoor', conducted precision strikes on terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) at 1:44 am on Wednesday, May 7. The 'Operation Sindoor' was launched by the Indian forces in response to the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir on April 22.
According to reports, the Indian forces targeted terrorist locations in Pakistan. In retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack, Indian armed forces carried out missile strikes early Wednesday, hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed, the Indian Army said.

1. Markaz Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur Of Pakistan's Punjab Province: This Markaz serves as the operational headquarter of JeM and associated with terrorist plannings including Pulwama attack on Feb 14, 2019. Perpetrators of Pulwama attack were trained at this camp, a source to ANI.
2. Markaz Taiba: It is the ‘alma mater’ and the most important training centre of LeT located in Nangal Sahdan, Muridke, Sheikhupura, Punjab, Pakistan.
3. Sarjal/Tehra Kalan facility Jaish-e-Mohammad in Shakargarh, District Narowal in Pakistan's Punjab: This is the main launching site of JeM for infiltration of terrorists into J&K. This facility is located inside the premises of a Primary Health Center in Tehra Kalan Village of Sarjal area so as to conceal its real purpose.
4. Mehmoona Joya Facility, Sialkot: It is a facility of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) and is located near Kotli Bhutta Govt. Hospital in Head Marala area of Sialkot District of Punjab, Pakistan. The terror backers, Pak ISI have facilitated setting up of such launch facilities along IB & LoC in Govt. buildings to hide/conceal terror infrastructure.
5. Markaz Ahle Hadith Barnala, Bhimber: Markaz Ahle Hadith, Barnala is one of the important Markaz of LeT in PoK and is used for infiltration of LeT terrorists and arms/ammunition into Poonch – Rajauri - Reasi sector. The Markaz is situated at outskirts of Barnala town on Kote Jamel road and is at a distance of 500 metres from Barnala town and 200 metre from Kote Jemel road
6. Markaz Abbas: Markaz Saidna Hazrat Abbas Bin Abdul Mutalib (Markaz Abbas) of JeM is located in Mohalla Roli Dhara Bypass Road, Kotli, PoJK. This Markaz is located approx. 02 km south-east of Kotli Military Camp.
7. Maskar Raheel Shahid: It is reportedly a terrorm launchpad of Hizbul-Mujahideen in PoK's Kotli. Located at approx. 2.5 km from Mahuli Puli (a bridge on Mahuli Nalla on Mirpur-Kotli road) in Kotli, Maskar Rahil Shahid is one of the oldest facilities of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM). It is a secluded facility and accessible only via a kuchcha track. The camp is located in hilly area and comprises of barracks, four rooms being used for keeping arms & ammunition, office and for residential purpose for terrorists.
8. Shawai Nallah Cam in Muzaffarabad: It is one of the most important camps of LeT and is used for recruitment, registration and training of LeT cadres. This camp has been functional since early 2000s, reported ANI.
9. Markaz Syedna Bilal: It is a camp of Jaish-e-Mohammed known as Markaz Syedna Bilal, located at Muzaffarabad, has a presence of 50-100 terrorists and the Special Services Group of Pakistan army provide training to the JeM cadres at this facility, reported PTI.
Meanwhile, Pakistan claimed that at least eight people were killed and 35 others injured in Indian missile attacks on cities in Punjab and PoK.
Ties between India and Pakistan deteriorated following the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22 in which 26 people, mostly tourists, were killed.
India announced a series of punitive measures against Pakistan, including the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, shutting down of the only operational land border crossing at Attari and downgrading of diplomatic ties following the terror attack.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had told the top defence brass that the armed forces have "complete operational freedom" to decide on the mode, targets and timing of India's response to the attack.
